TFMS Sports Overview

  • Twin Falls Middle School offers a no-cut athletic program to encourage positive participation for all students. We encourage students to get involved in after-school sports to promote fun, fitness, teamwork and sportsmanship.  TFMS will follow the Washington State Department of Health guidance for schools' protocols for school safety.

The TFMS athletic program is open to all students in the 7th and 8th grades.  Sixth graders may participate in Cross Country, Girls Soccer, Wrestling and Track.  TFMS participates in league competitions with SMS, CKMS, as well as Tolt and Islander Middle Schools.

How to sign up for sports: Online registration is required and opens a few weeks before each sports season begins.  All students must be registered online before they can attend practice.

Physical: Print this PHYSICAL FORM for your family doctor.  No student may practice or compete without a current physical.  No exceptions.

Physicals last two years and you will upload the physical when you register online for your sport. Physicals for new 6th graders must be dated after June 1st, 2022.

Grade Checks:  Grades will be checked every two weeks to ensure an athlete is passing.

Participation Fee: $80 per sport. Students also must join ASB ($20 annual fee).  Need financial assistance?  Participation fees are waived for students enrolled in Free & Reduced Meals and/or the College Bound Scholarship program.  Complete the Financial Assistance Waiver that is in FamilyID to receive financial assistance for extracurricular activities.

Transportation: One-way buses will be available for away games. Parents will need to arrange for transportation home or indicate other parents that may drive your student, when you sign-up for sports at the link above.  Additionally, an activity bus, leaving at 4:40 pm, will take athletes to Opstad & NBE after practice.

Practices:  Practices are held Monday-Thursday, 2:50 - 4:20 p.m., with no practice on Friday.
