Certificated staff who participate in these classes have the opportunity to earn Washington State approved Clock Hours. In order to receive Clock Hours for Professional Development participants must do the following:
-
Access Frontline Professional Growth prior to the beginning of the PD session to enroll for a course.
-
Sign in at each class session.
-
Complete the online evaluation in Frontline (option available under Learning Plan, My Requests).

An evaluation for each class is required by the Washington Administrative Code (WAC) in order for clock hours to be applied toward salary advancement. Participants must complete the evaluation immediately upon completion of the professional development course. Only one evaluation is needed for multi-day classes.

2024 Clock Hour Resource Guide Including Book Studies, Modules and More? Review the 2024 Clock Hour Resource Guide - Note about Book Studies: After careful consideration, the Center for Collaborative Support (CCS) consortium, originally formed by the Issaquah, Snoqualmie Valley, Riverview, Tahoma, and Mercer Island School Districts, has decided to disband. This decision was not made lightly, as CCS has provided valuable professional learning opportunities and collaboration across districts. However, as our districts continue to grow and evolve, the need for formal nonprofit status and financial commitments is no longer required. Collaboration among the districts will continue, but without the formal structure of the corporation.
Additionally, the CCS will no longer be offering cross-district book studies. Due to the declining participation in these studies, each district has decided to explore more tailored professional learning opportunities that better align with their individual goals and resources. While this marks a change, each district remains committed to providing relevant and meaningful learning experiences to meet their unique professional development needs.
Your dedication to continuous learning is important. We encourage you to explore available resources and in-district professional development options for ongoing professional learning.
