K-North Open Enrollment

K-North Boundary Change

On April 23 2020, the Snoqualmie Valley School Board unanimously approved a boundary change that impacts the K-North development of the Snoqualmie Ridge.  Families within this development will now be assigned to Cascade View Elementary and Snoqualmie Middle as their home schools.  This change was necessary due to ongoing enrollment growth at Timber Ridge Elementary School.

This boundary change goes into effect with the start of the 2020-21 school year. The board also approved a transition plan, which will allow students to remain at Timber Ridge Elementary and/or Chief Kanim Middle for the 2020-21 school year.  Families who take advantage of this option will need to submit the K-North Option Request to the school district no later than May 15, 2020.

For subsequent school years, families may choose to continue to open enroll their students at these two schools via the Open Enrollment process that occurs districtwide each year.  K-North families will be given priority consideration, however, open enrollment is dependent upon space available at each grade level and is a year-to-year process that requires re-application each year.

In addition, we have posted frequently asked questions (FAQ) for families to reference.  The link below may be updated periodically as we receive additional questions from families.  Feel free to email svsdinfo@svsd410.org if you have additional questions that are not answered in the FAQ.  Because our staff are working remotely, we appreciate your patience in response times.  We know this is a time-sensitive issue and will try to respond as quickly as possible. We understand that boundary changes are difficult for families who are impacted and will work to ensure a smooth transition.
