NEW RUNNING START STUDENTS
PREPARING FOR RUNNING START
The Running Start program is an opportunity for juniors and seniors to take college courses while still in high school. Please view the informational video, and follow the enrollment steps outlined below, if you are interested in participating in Running Start next year.

PLEASE NOTE: Counselors will begin meeting with students/families to complete the Enrollment Verification Form beginning the week of March 29th. See step 5 below for more information.
APPLYING TO RUNNING START
STEP 1: Complete the college's Running Start application on their website. Bellevue College application can be found HERE. For all questions about your BC application please contact runningstartnewstudent@bellevuecollege.edu STEP 2: Check your email for instructions from BC and complete all outlined enrollment steps, including placement, by designated deadlines.
NOTE: Make sure to check your junk mail! STEP 3: Get an idea of the classes you wish to take using the following: • Course Equivalency Guides • College's course catalog for Fall 2021 (check college's website for availablility) STEP 4: Review the MSHS Running Start Agreement Video and read & sign the MSHS Running Start Agreement NOTE: Review the Running Start Program Eligibility Requirements & Scope to confirm that you meet the criteria to participate in the program. STEP 5: Complete your EVF with your school counselor (beginning the week of March 29th) Submit the following Google Form to schedule an appointment: New Running Start Student Form • You will need the following documents to complete this form. Please ensure documents for upload are in a PDF format: 1. MSHS Running Start Agreement - initialed and signed by student & parent 2. Running Start Enrollment Verification Form - top portion completed 3. Proof of English & Math placement (i.e. email from Bellevue College confirming placement in English 101 and Math 098) 4. A list or idea about courses you would like to take during Winter Quarter • Once you have submitted, you will receive an email within 1-2 days confirming your appointment (parent/guardian should attend).
Your school counselor will sign and return your EVF via email. You will submit it to: runningstartnewstudent@bellevuecollege.edu
English & Math Placement at Bellevue College
** Due to the COVID-19 health crisis, Bellevue's testing center has moved to online only services. For quicker placement results, please email your transcript to testing@bellevuecollege.edu for math and English placement**
