The IDEA Project is coming to NBES the week of February 11th.

The IDEA Project is a disability awareness program that includes grade level assemblies followed by individual activity stations tailored to meet the developmental stage and grade level of the students. The program introduces students to the idea of differences, and what it is actually like to have different abilities. It directly addresses the need to create empathy among students, helps promote understanding of their peers with disabilities, and a school culture of inclusion across all students.

We need parent volunteers to help run activity stations. No experience is required and you will receive instructions on how to run your station when you arrive. This unique opportunity is not only an amazing learning experience for the students but it is a fun learning experience for the adult volunteers too.
