Middle School Staffing for the 2019-20 School Year
In preparation for re-opening Snoqualmie Middle School next year, the district has finalized the majority of the middle school teaching staff assignments that will go into effect for the 2019-20 school year. Efforts were made to consider staff requests, while balancing program needs and years of teaching experience, to ensure all three schools can offer equitable programs and support for Snoqualmie Valley middle school students across the district.
The chart below shows where current middle school teachers will be working next year, distributed among the three schools: Chief Kanim Middle School (in Fall City), Snoqualmie Middle School (in Snoqualmie), and Twin Falls Middle School (in North Bend).
Hiring for additional positions that may be needed at Snoqualmie Middle School, such as some classified positions or replacements for any retirements or leaves that may transpire, will take place later this spring.
In related news, parents of students attending middle school next year (current 5th-7th grade families) recently received communication confirming which school their student will attend next year. (The new middle school attendance boundaries were approved in 2015, during planning for opening Timber Ridge Elementary in 2016.) Click here for the new 2019-20 attendance boundary map.
