Where do I find information? |
The SMS website is updated daily starting in August. All Back-to-School information will be posted there and sent via email. (best viewed on a PC, versus mobile.) |
ASB Cards |
ASB cards go on sale in late August for $20. Joining ASB funds student activities all year long and is required to play a sport or join a club.

Arrival and Dismissal |
The bell schedule is driven by transportation needs and can change each year. This year we started at 7:30 a.m. and ended at 2:24 p.m. The new schedule will be posted as soon as available.

Bus Routes |
Transportation will post routes in August on the SVSD website.
|
Bus Tags |
Keep your Bus Tag safe over the summer and use it on the first day of school. More info.

Cell Phone Usage |
No cell phone use in the classroom. Okay to use during passing periods and lunch.

Class Schedules |
Class schedules will be posted in Family Access in late August - date to be announced |
Family Access |
Use Family Access to complete RSVP forms, keep family info current, track attendance and final grades.

Fees |
School fees for ASB cards ($20) and yearbooks ($30) will go on sale online in late August. |
Laptops |
Laptops will be assigned to 6th graders and new students during the first week of school. Laptops come with a charger, stylus and case. Returning students: keep your laptop, charger, and stylus safe over the summer to bring on the first day.

Lockers |
Lockers are optional. Sign-up in the office during the first week of school. |
Lunch/Breakfast |
School lunch will be $4.50 per meal and breakfast will be $2.50.

Office Hours |
The SMS Office opens August 22nd from 8 to 3. Call 425.831.8450 for assistance or stop in.

Open House |
SMS will open the building for tours and meetings with counselors/principals on August 25th. |
PE Lockers |
Teachers will instruct students during the first week about PE shirts (optional) and PE lockers. |
School Pictures

Pictures will be taken during school hours on Wednesday, September 7th |
School Supplies |

Schoology |
Use Schoology for teacher communication, track assignments and grades. Parent log-ins will be available for new students/6th graders early in the school year.

Sports - Fall |
Fall sports begin August 31st. Registration is required starting August 15th. |
Sports physical |
For 6th graders doing sports: A new sports physical is required, dated after June 1, 2022. You will upload this document online when you register for sports. For returning athletes, your physical lasts two years.

Vaccinations |
All 7th graders are required to show proof of the Tdap vaccine. More info here.

Yearbooks |
Yearbooks go on sale twice a year for $30 in early September and May. |
