Message from the Principal regarding the New Schedules and 2nd Semester
I hope you are all safe after the windstorm we had on Tuesday night. Let’s just add this to the list of strange and disturbing things we are all dealing with over the past year! I have two important pieces of information about the end of first semester and the start of second semester for you. I apologize for the long email, but there isn’t a way to make this shorter!
First, we have some schedule changes coming up due to the power outage yesterday, exhibitions next week, and the start of second semester on Tuesday, 1/26. Please remember all Two Rivers schedule changes only affect Two Rivers classes. If your student has a class at Mount Si, they need to attend that class as regularly scheduled. If your student is a senior, their advisors will communicate specific details to you.
As a reminder, we have no school on Monday, 1/18 for Martin Luther King Jr. Day. The rest of that week we have a revised schedule for exhibitions. The schedule is below.
The week of 1/25 is the start of second semester. Students may have schedule changes – please check Skyward or with your advisor. There is no school on Monday 1/25 for a teacher work day. Second semester classes will start on Tuesday, 1/26. We have revised our Friday schedule to accommodate service learning projects. Students will have the opportunity to come to school on Fridays starting 1/29. We will get you more information on what this will look like as soon as we finalize our plan with the district. The new schedule is linked here and will be in effect until we can return to an in-person schedule.
Second, students in Two Rivers classes will receive Pass (P) or No Credit (NC) grades in their classes. If your student receives a NC, their teacher will email you and your student to let you know what standards they need to meet to pass. If your student has a Mount Si class, they will receive an A-F grade. Please let me know if you need any assistance in working with a Mount Si teacher.
