Extra-curricular activities will resume Tuesday, November 17th
After further review of the new restrictions announced yesterday by Governor Inslee, it is with careful consideration that we have decided to move forward with our optional extra-curricular sports activities beginning tomorrow, November 17th, with some modifications.
The Speed Camp sessions are cancelled, conditioning practices will now be sport-specific. New sports activity restrictions require that participants be masked at all times. Due to this change, it was determined by the coaches that wearing masks for the entirety of Speed Camp would be too strenuous. The following programs have elected to continue with their conditioning plans based on the new restrictions:
Coaches will be contacting registered players with schedule days/times/locations. Reminder - these are optional practices!
While we recognize the positive benefits of physical activity and are pleased to be able to offer this to our students, the safety of our students and staff is of the utmost concern to us, especially as the holiday season approaches. Students must adhere to the previously communicated safety protocols:
All participants and coaches will practice social distancing.
All participants will complete an attestation prior to checking in to practices. The link for the attestation can be found HERE and must be shown at check-in.*
Participants must provide their own mask, and wear it throughout the entire practice.*
Participants must bring their own water bottle.*
Coaches will wear masks at all times.
Participants will be placed in groups of 5, and will remain with that same group of 5 throughout all practice sessions
District transportation will NOT be provided.
No spectators allowed on campus.
To keep contact between camp participants limited, carpooling is not recommended; if you must carpool we ask that you carpool with your group of 5.
*participants will be turned away if not complying!
If you have any concerns or questions, please don’t hesitate to check in with your coaches or the Athletic Director. We will continue to update you through our planning process.
We appreciate your patience as we continue strive to make the best decisions for our Wildcat Community during this pandemic.
