About Proficiency Testing & Our World Language Competency Based Credit Program
Students who test can earn up to 4.0 world language credits towards high school graduation.
Students who earn 4.0 credits are eligible for the distinguished Washington State Seal of Biliteracy on their high school diploma and transcript.
Students also benefit from by freeing up credits for other world language study, elective course exploration, or credit recovery.
It is important to note that competitive colleges still require students to complete classroom-based world language credits. Students should check with colleges and seek advice from their high school counselors.
Online Registration for Testing
Registration window: November 30 – January 5
Testing date: February 1 or February 8 (students will be assigned a date based on their language)
Testing time: 8:00 a.m.
Testing location: MSHS Library (transportation will be provided for middle school students)
