Coronavirus Update: School Board Meeting to be Hosted Online in Response to COVID-19
In accordance with the Governor’s recent “Stay Home, Stay Safe” proclamation to help prevent curb the spread of the COVID-19 illness in our community, the Snoqualmie Valley School District Board of Directors is implementing some temporary changes to board meetings, while our schools remain closed. (The proclamation requires that public attendance at open public meetings be remote -- not in-person.)
As an alternative to an in-person gathering, the March 26, 2020, regular School Board meeting will take place electronically. The District is planning to host the meeting as a Zoom meeting, with the following considerations:
The meeting will begin at 5 p.m. on Thursday, March 26.
For those who would like to provide Public Comment, please email your comments to email@example.com, by 4 p.m. the day of the school board meeting. Your comments will be shared with the Board. (The Public Comment portion of each meeting is a time for the Board to receive comments; they do not address questions during board meetings.)
To observe the electronic School Board meeting, please follow the instructions below. We suggest you login at least 5 minutes before the start of the meeting, to test the audio.
PLEASE NOTE: All attendees will be muted during the meeting. If you have comments for the Board on any agenda items, we invite you to submit your comments via email to firstname.lastname@example.org following the meeting as well.
Click here for the updated March 26, 2020, Agenda. This agenda has been revised to prioritize necessary and routine matters, as well as matters related to the district’s response to the COVID-19 outbreak and current public health emergency, including efforts to sustain critical support services during the school closures.
Lastly, if you cannot join the meeting at this time, the District will post an audio recording of the meeting, as it does with all school board meetings, on the School Board podcasts webpage. Please allow at least a week for this to be posted, given limited staffing at this time.
Prior to the governor’s proclamation, the SVSD School Board met in an emergency meeting on March 19 to pass Resolution 855 -- Emergency – Suspension of Policy. Similarly, this resolution allows for special adjustments to the public meeting format, with measures intended to help prevent the transmission of illness.

Robert Manahan is inviting you to a scheduled Zoom meeting.
