FDA Approves Vaccine for Ages 5-11 – See Upcoming Vaccine Clinic Dates

Earlier this week, Oct. 26, the FDA approved emergency use authorization of Pfizer COVID vaccine for children ages 5-11 years. While a few steps remain before final approval in our state, our school district is busy planning with Snoqualmie Valley Hospital to provide several school clinics in November and December.

Mark Your Calendar:  We are planning free clinics for 1st and 2nd doses, three weeks apart, on the dates below.  Our clinics will all take place in Mount Si High School’s Freshman Campus Commons

  • Nov. 9 and Nov. 30 – Tuesdays, 5 - 8 p.m.
  • Nov. 13 and Dec. 4 – Saturdays, 8 a.m. - 1 p.m.
  • Nov. 17 and Dec. 8 – Wednesdays, 5 - 8 p.m.
  • Nov. 20 and Dec. 11 – Saturdays, 8 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Dose Availability:  These clinics will provide Pfizer COVID vaccine doses for ages 5-11 only. (People age 12+ seeking COVID vaccinations, including those eligible for boosters, can contact the Snoqualmie Valley Hospital or other health provider for services.)

For those who would like to participate, our clinics will be free and optional, since COVID vaccinations for students are not required in our state, at this time.

Coming soon… Once the authorization process is confirmed and SVH receives doses for ages 5-11, we’ll post a registration link to sign up for appointments. Parental consent is required (for under 18) and guardians must accompany their children.
