2nd-Dose COVID Vaccines for Ages 5-11 at School Clinics - Nov. 30-Dec. 11, 2021
In partnership with the Snoqualmie Valley Hospital, SVSD hosted four first-dose vaccine clinics for children ages 5-11. As a result, over the past two weeks, 1,498 elementary students received free Pfizer COVID vaccines during these evening and weekend events at Mount Si High School’s Freshman Campus building.
To be fully vaccinated, these students must receive a 2nd dose of the Pfizer vaccine three weeks after their first dose. A person is considered fully vaccinated two weeks after their 2nd dose.
Below are follow-up dates for our next vaccine clinics – scheduled exactly three weeks after the first-dose sessions – that will again be dose specific for children ages 5-11:
If vaccinated with 1st dose on Nov. 9, get the 2nd dose Tues., November 30 (5-8 p.m.)
If vaccinated with 1st dose on Nov. 13, get the 2nd dose Sat., December 4 (8 a.m.-1 p.m.)
If vaccinated with 1st dose on Nov. 17, get the 2nd dose Wed., December 8 (5-8 p.m.)
If vaccinated with 1st dose on Nov. 20, get the 2nd dose Sat., December 11 (8 a.m.-1 p.m.)
If your child received a first-dose Pfizer vaccine at one of our recent November school clinics, they are automatically scheduled for their 2nd-dose, for the same time slot, three weeks later (unless you made other arrangements). Please check for your corresponding clinic date above. If you can make this time, there is no further action for you until the appointment date.
If you cannot make your appointment, notify us through the registration link, so that another child may have the appointment.
What to bring for a 2nd dose: As before, parents/guardians must attend with their child and bring a copy of their adult photo ID, along with a new signed consent form with screening questions. (Registered families will be sent a reminder with a consent form to complete in advance. Or you may print the 2-page pdf here -- Consent form (in English) or Consent form (en Español) -- and bringing it completed to your appointment.) IMPORTANT: Also be sure to bring your child’s physical vaccination card (that you received at their first dose) so it can be updated. NOTE: Toward the end of a few first-dose clinics, we ran out of vaccination cards; SVH will bring cards for those students.
If you have a child 5-11 years who needs a first-dose vaccine, you may sign them up for an upcoming school clinic, as long as space remains available. You can check for available times through the SOLV registration link below.
What to bring for a 1st dose: Parental/guardian consent is required and guardians must accompany their children to their appointment. The hospital requires a copy of the guardian’s photo ID, with a signed consent form with screening questions. You can upload these through the registration link below or print a copy of the 2-page pdf here -- Consent form (in English) or Consent form (en Español) -- and bring it to your appointment completed. NOTE:If your student is able to get a first dose at an upcoming school clinic, you’ll need to make an appointment for your student’s second dose three weeks later at Snoqualmie Valley Hospital’s Drive-Thru Vaccines or another healthcare provider.
These vaccine clinics will take place in the same location -- at the Freshman Campus Commons at Mount Si High School, 8651 Meadowbrook Way SE in Snoqualmie, Building 4000, near the “Red lot” (not the “Gray lot” main entrance). See campus mapand refer to the pictures below for where to go. Follow the stairs to the Freshman Campus entrance. (If you need elevator access, please make prior arrangements by contacting email@example.com with your scheduled appointment time.)
These clinics will provide Pfizer COVID vaccine doses for ages 5-11 only. The dose for children ages 5-11 is one-third the dosage of the vaccine for older adolescents and adults. Read the Pfizer Fact Sheet for more details.
