In the News: Top School Districts Named in Washington State
A KING 5 News story on April 10 reported that Snoqualmie Valley School District was #3 among the top school districts in Washington State. Backgroundchecks.org looked at 9,577 public school districts in the United States to compile the ranking -- based on student performance test scores in math and reading, dropout rates, school funding and area poverty rates.
According to the report, the following were named as the top ten school districts in the state:
Mercer Island School District
Lake Washington School District
Snoqualmie Valley School District
Bellevue School District
Camas School District
Issaquah School District
Bainbridge Island School District
Northshore School District
Tahoma School District
Tumwater School District
