Our district is participating in the Washington State 2018 Healthy Youth Survey in October. This survey is administered to students in grades 6, 8, 10 and 12, every two years, to help schools and communities throughout the state understand and support the health-related needs of their students.
The Healthy Youth Survey includes questions related to physical activity and diet, unintentional and intentional injury, substance use, risk and protective factors, access to school-based services, and sexual behaviors, abuse and orientation. Survey results are used by schools, community services and state agencies to plan programs to support our youth and reduce their risks.
Participation in the survey is voluntary and the students’ answers are anonymous.
If you have additional questions, please contact your school as follows: Erica Healy at Mount Si High School, Tanya Alter at Chief Kanim Middle School, John Coulon at Twin Falls Middle School, and Elaine Maimon at Two Rivers School.
