Photos of Seahawks 1st Friday Night Lights Event at Mount Si

The Seattle Seahawks selected the Mount Si vs. Woodinville High School game to launch their first “Blue Friday Night Lights” celebration on September 21, 2018.  Our community packed the stadium, as Seahawks’ official DJ, Supa Sam, blasted tunes prior to the game to get folks excited. Mount Si’s “C” Football team unfurled a huge American Flag as the MSHS choir sang the national anthem. Then, Superintendent Rob Manahan joined former Seahawk Manu Tuiasosopo and Blitz the mascot to raise the 12th Man flag and kick-off the game. Sea Gals mixed with the high school cheerleaders and dance team members, and treated the audience to a hair-flying performance at half time. The Blue Thunder band sat with Mount Si’s Pep Band during the game and performed with the Drumline.  Superintendent Rob Manahan also played his trumpet with the Pep Band, sporting a special “Superintendent” band jacket. Ultimately, the Mount Si Wildcats (ranked #2 among 4A schools in the state) beat the #9 ranked Woodinville Falcons, 27-17.
