FAFSA Opens October 1. The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is available online starting October 1 for students/families to apply for financial aid for college next year.
PSAT Testing and College Prep Activities on October 10:
At Mount Si High School, all students in grades 9, 10 and 11 will be taking the PSAT/NMSQT exam on October 10. Seniors will have time to work on college applications, Culminating Senior Projects, and other activities related to planning for their future. AtTwo Rivers School, all students in grades 10 and 11 will be taking the PSAT/NMSQT exam, while seniors will be taking the SAT. (Ninth graders will engage in a community service activity on October 10.)
SAT and ACT Prep Classes at Mount Si High School. The MSHS PTSA is sponsoring SAT/ACT Prep courses. The deadline to register for the first session is October 8; the weekly evening class starts October 9 and runs six weeks. Click on the headline for registration details and costs.
Funding Your Future Night is on October 25, 6:30 p.m., in the MSHS Auditorium. Students and their families are invited to learn about planning for college funding, Federal Financial Aid (FAFSA), loans, scholarships, tax incentives, out-of-state WUI funding, as well as an overview of educational and financial options offered through the military.
