College Prep Activities for High School Students, Families

FAFSA Opens October 1.  The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is available online starting October 1 for students/families to apply for financial aid for college next year.

 

PSAT Testing and College Prep Activities on October 10:

  • At Mount Si High School, all students in grades 9, 10 and 11 will be taking the PSAT/NMSQT exam on October 10. Seniors will have time to work on college applications, Culminating Senior Projects, and other activities related to planning for their future.   • At Two Rivers School, all students in grades 10 and 11 will be taking the PSAT/NMSQT exam, while seniors will be taking the SAT. (Ninth graders will engage in a community service activity on October 10.)

 

SAT and ACT Prep Classes at Mount Si High School. The MSHS PTSA is sponsoring SAT/ACT Prep courses.  The deadline to register for the first session is October 8; the weekly evening class starts October 9 and runs six weeks. Click on the headline for registration details and costs.

 

Funding Your Future Night is on October 25, 6:30 p.m., in the MSHS Auditorium.  Students and their families are invited to learn about planning for college funding, Federal Financial Aid (FAFSA), loans, scholarships, tax incentives, out-of-state WUI funding, as well as an overview of educational and financial options offered through the military.
