Great Washington ShakeOut Earthquake Drill is October 18
On October 18, Snoqualmie Valley schools plan to participate in the 2018 Great Washington ShakeOut, joining millions of people worldwide in an earthquake drill. Federal, state, and local emergency management experts and other official preparedness organizations all agree that “Drop, Cover, and Hold On” is the appropriate action to reduce injury and death during earthquakes. Our schools will be reinforcing and practicing these steps during their earthquake drills:
The Snoqualmie Valley School District complies with all federal and state statutes and regulations and does not discriminate in any programs or activities on the basis of sex, race, creed, religion, color, national origin, age, veteran or military status, sexual orientation, gender expression or identity, disability, or the use of a trained dog guide or service animal, and provides equal access to the Boy Scouts and other designated youth groups. This holds true for all district employment and student opportunities. Inquiries regarding compliance and/or grievance procedures may be directed to the school district’s Title IX/RCW 28A.640 Officer and Section 504/ADA Coordinator, Nancy Meeks, P.O. Box 400, Snoqualmie, WA 98065, phone 425-831-8000.
