Students Deliver Flowers Door-to-Door on May Day

Each year on May 1, third grade classes at Fall City Elementary School take part in an annual May Day Walk. They walk through nearby neighborhoods, delivering bouquets door-to-door, with flowers donated by parents and staff.

“This tradition began over 30 years ago and is a great way for our students and staff to show gratitude and give back to our community,” explained Fall City Elementary Principal Katelyn Long. Parents and guardians are also invited to join the walking fieldtrip.

This year, students had the opportunity to stop by Mrs. Kaiser’s home, a former FCES teacher who had

fond memories of doing this activity with her third grade classes before retiring years ago.

Below are snapshots from the 3rd grade classes of teachers: Mrs. Newland, Mrs. Rosendale, Mrs. Muller, Mrs. Bergerson, and Mrs. Ploegman – enjoying this year’s sunny May Day.
