Kindergarten Information:  All kindergarten students are eligible for the full-day kindergarten program at no cost to the families. For families who request a half-day program, their child will attend in the morning and parents will need to pick up their student midday. Click here for more Kindergarten Information. Kindergarten Family Connection Meetings will take place at all Snoqualmie Valley elementary schools, September 4-6. Schools will be in contact with each Kindergarten family to schedule their meeting. Kindergarten classes start Monday, September 9.

Immunization Requirements:  By law, student immunizations must be up-to-date PRIOR to attending the first day of school. To ensure your student has all the required vaccinations to attend school, check the Washington State 2019-20 Immunization Requirements.  To access your student’s immunization information, click here for resources.

Physical Forms:  Students in grades 6-12, who want to participate in school athletic activities, must get a physical examination from a health care provider to be eligible to participate. Many fall sports start on, or sometimes before, the first day of school, so it is helpful to take care of this requirement during the summer. Below are links to each secondary school's physical forms and other information regarding participation. Please print off the physical form and ask your doctor to complete and sign it at your child’s next check-up. This information must be updated every two years for participating students.

E-News Communication:  E-News is the primary way that the district and all SVSD schools communicate with parents (using Constant Contacts) to send email notifications and online e-newsletters.  Sign up for E-News to receive important news concerning your child's education throughout the year. Simply enter your email address, select "Snoqualmie Valley School District" and the school your child attends. If your student is transitioning to a different school this fall, be sure to subscribe to the new school’s E-News. To unsubscribe from a school your student no longer attends, click on the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of a past message from your former school.

Emergency Text Notifications:  Our district uses a mass notification system called SchoolMessenger to inform families if there is a school emergency, including school closures or late starts. In addition to automated calls and timely email notifications, the district can send emergency text messages to parents and staff who have provided their cell phone numbers to the district’s database and have “opted in” to receive texts. (Because there could be a charge associated with texting from phone providers, individuals must “opt in” to allow emergency texts.) To sign up: on your mobile phone, address a text to: 67587, type “Y” or “YES” as the message, and hit send. For more information, read this flyer

Family Access:  This online tool allows parents and guardians to check their students’ grades, see missing assignments, track attendance, verify immunization records, confirm emergency contacts, and find other vital information about their students.  Parents can monitor lunch account purchases, and sign up to receive email notifications when their student’s balance is low. Parents can also sign up for email notifications when their student is marked tardy or absent. To use Family Access, schools will provide each parent with a confidential code to ensure confidentiality regarding their student’s information.

Make Payments Online:  Click here for information on how to make Online Payments with a credit card for:  lunch accounts, program fees, student fines, ASB cards, club dues, sport participation fees, and more. Online payments for student lunch accounts will be processed after August 17. Other payments may vary by school. Please be aware that course fees are not available for payment until class schedules have been finalized, typically a few weeks into the school year.

School Breakfast/Lunches:  Find Food Service information online. Check back mid-August for interactive school menus.

Free and Reduced Cost Meals Program at School:  Families who would like free or reduced cost meals provided for their children during the school day, must apply for this federal income-based program each school year.  The 2019-20 application will be available after August 16, 2019.  Families will be able to download the application from the district website then, apply directly in Family Access, or pick up a hard copy form at the District Office. 2019-20 applications will also be available at all school offices at the start of school.  Eligible families must re-apply every year.

Child Find:  The Snoqualmie Valley School District offers regularly scheduled, free developmental screenings for children ages 3-5 years old. The first screening date is September 6, 2019. Click here for more Child Find information.

Bus Routes:  Through E-Link on the district website, families can confirm bus stop locations, as well as pick-up and drop-off times for students’ routes.  2019-20 bus route information will be available on E-Link on August 23.

BusBulletin Notifications:  Would you like to be notified when your student's bus is going to be late?  The District's Transportation Department offers a free service, to those who subscribe, that will notify a parent or guardian when their child's school bus will be delayed more than 10 minutes.  Whether a delay is due to road conditions, or other unanticipated events which may affect their student's bus route, the department works to keep families informed as much as possible.  Parents can sign up for email or text notifications related to their student’s specific bus route at: https://busbulletin.com/app/register.php.  Parents are encouraged to sign up after August 23, once the 2019-20 bus routes are posted, as routes are adjusted each summer to meet the needs of our student population.

Transportation Office Hours:  The Snoqualmie Valley District Transportation Office will remain open during the summer.  Summer hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. Regular office hours will resume September 3:  Monday through Friday, 5:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. Transportation is continuing to hire new bus drivers and offer training during summer months.  If interested, please call 425-831-8020.

Have a fun, safe summer!
