Mental Health Support for Teens this Summer

 

Mental Health professionals at Friends of Youth partner with Snoqualmie Valley counseling staff throughout the year to help support our students and families.  This summer, they are providing some learning events and support groups for Snoqualmie Valley students that promote wellness.  Two upcoming opportunities – offering weekly sessions - include:

 

Under the Umbrella: A Group for LGBTQIA+ Individuals - June 24 - July 29

Explore gender and sexual identity to improve self-confidence, develop healthy coping skills, and foster a sense of community, hope and resilience. This group, for ages 13-17 yrs., will use art, video, and other activities for a journey of self-discovery and support.  Click on the flyer for details and how to register. 

  • This Virtual Zoom Meeting (for ages 13-17 yrs.) will take place Wednesdays, 3 - 4 p.m.

Summer Wellness 101 Group - July 8 - August 20

Learn some healthier coping skills and techniques to deal with life stressors that impact youth mental health or substance use concerns. Click on the flyer for details and how to register. These Virtual Zoom Meetings will take place:

  • Middle School (11-14 yrs.) – Thursdays, 10:30 a.m. – 12 p.m.
  • High School (15-18 yrs.) – Wednesdays, 10:30 a.m. – 12 p.m.
