All Students: On Thursday night, August 27, and Friday, instructions about how to join classes on the first day of school will be emailed regarding each student. This message will include the student's new unique login information, as well as step-by-step instructions for getting online to begin classes next week. This information is being sent to parent/guardian emails (both Parent1/Guardian1 in Family1 and Parent2/Guardian2 in Family2 as designated in Skyward). Families should watch for an email with the subject line: SVSD Student 20-21 Start of School Information for each of their enrolled students.
On Friday, August 28, individual student schedules for grades K-5 will be posted in Family Access at after 8 a.m.
The focus of the first four days of school next week will be to build relationships and orient students and families with online learning tools. Time will be set aside for virtual Meet the Teacher meetings, a drive-through pickup of essential materials and other engagement opportunities. The first day of lessons on the new school schedules will be Friday, September 4.
You can schedule your teacher meeting in Family Access, any time after your class assignment has been posted.
On Friday, August 28, individual student schedules for grades 6-12 will be posted in Family Access/Skyward in the afternoon.
Also Friday, our middle schools and MSHS will coordinate device distribution from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. (See below for details.)
Classes will begin on Monday, August 31 at 8:45 a.m. Please refer the Distance Learning 2.0 website for more information about daily schedules for students in middle and high school.
Does your student need a district computing device?
Each school is coordinating the distribution of district computing devices for their students. Please watch for email from your school, and check your school website, for specific dates and times. The following four schools are distributing devices on Friday, August 28:
All three middle schools are planning to issue devices on Friday, August 28, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. to incoming 6th graders and new students. Check your school website for details and a parent form, before you depart. Families who borrowed a Chromebook from their elementary school last spring for their 5th grader will need to turn in the Chromebook to their middle school in exchange for a laptop that their now-6th grader will use through graduation.
Distribution for new Mount Si High School students who need a laptop will also take place Friday, August 28, 11 a.m.-noon (A-L) and 12-1p.m. (M-Z). Click here before you go. Incoming 9th graders who attended a SVSD middle school will keep the device they were assigned last year to use until they graduate.

If you do not have internet access at home, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 425-831-8019 to make arrangements to borrow a hotspot from the school district.
