15 Mount Si High School Seniors Earn College Board Recognition


Congratulations to 15 Mount Si High School seniors who have been recognized by the College Board as National Recognition Program Scholars.  The students in the Class of 2021 pictured below all received National Rural and Small Town Recognition, plus three of them (denoted with an asterix) were also named in this year's National Hispanic Recognition Program.


The College Board National Recognition Programs create pathways to college for students from underrepresented communities by awarding them academic honors and connecting them with universities across the country. This program was made available last spring to students who scored in the top 2.5% of PSAT/NMSQT test takers who identify as one of the following: African American, Hispanic American or Latinx, Indigenous or attend school in a rural area or are from a small town. The students also must have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 by the middle of their junior year.  Students who meet those qualifications may be invited to apply for academic recognition as part of the College Board National Recognition Program.

The National Recognition Program grants students academic honors that can be included on college applications. Colleges use these honors to identify students from underrepresented groups who have excelled on their PSAT/NMSQT and in their classrooms.
