Tuesday, January 19, 2021, was the first day of in-person learning for Kindergarten students in the Snoqualmie Valley School District who chose the hybrid learning option. This learning model includes a combination of learning at school about three hours a day, four days a week, coupled with learning at home the remainder of time. This option allows for smaller in-person class sizes needed to implement social distancing and other safety requirements. At the same time, our district continues to support families who prefer 100% Remote Learning.
Throughout our six elementary schools, approximately 275 Kindergarten students chose the hybrid model, while about 128 K students preferred fully remote learning. Class sizes of the in-person groups ranged from 4-12 children per classroom.
