First Day of Welcoming Back Grades 6 & 9 In Person
It was a good day today in Snoqualmie Valley schools, as we welcomed back half of our hybrid students in 6th and 9th grades who comprise Group A. Tomorrow, March 23, will be the first day for Hybrid students in Group B of grades 6 & 9. And, at the end of this week, hybrid seniors are scheduled to return Thursday, March 25 (Group A) or Friday, March 26 (Group B).
To support a smooth transition as we continue this positive momentum, please review the following quick reminders:
Everyone must complete a Health School & Attestation each morning they are scheduled for in-person learning. Please complete this at home (preferably by 7:30 a.m.) before coming to school or boarding a bus. Attestations should ONLY be done on dates a student is scheduled to be on campus physically. (Do not attest on an at-home learning day.) IF for some reason, your family does not receive the attestation link via email or text, use the back-up SVSD QR Code or link found on the Health Screen & Attestation page of the Safety Handbook.
Parent/guardians of bus riders:Please sign up for bothBus Bulletin Notificationsand the newSMART Tag Parent Portal. Due to the bus driver shortage and limited substitute drivers, there may be changes to routes needed on short notice. For the remainder of this school year, our Transportation Department will use both notification systems – Bus Bulletin and SMART Tag – to alert guardians about delays or issues specific to their student’s bus route. SVSD middle schools and high schools will be distributing the SMART Tag cards to student riders soon. Learn more about this free service: New SMART Tag System Enhances Safety for SVSD School Bus Riders.
Lastly, diligence with COVID safety measures outside of school is still needed. Please do not gather in large groups outside of school, for example. Continuing safe activities outside of school will help keep our schools open for in-person learning. Thank you!
