Schools Foundation Hosts Virtual Week of Giving to Supports SVSD
The Snoqualmie Valley Schools Foundation’s 2021 Small Hands to Big Plans Virtual Week of Giving starts Monday, April 19, and will run through Friday, April 23. This is their primary annual fundraising event that will support programs and opportunities that benefit every student and school in the Snoqualmie Valley School District.
From the comfort of your home, they invite you to join online. Each day next week, they will share videos from students and staff showcasing the positive impact of donors’ generous support. Especially plan to watch the livestream event on Thursday, April 22, beginning at 12 noon. During this program, the 2021 Educators of the Year video will be presented, along with some other special messages from Snoqualmie Valley teachers, students and SVSF board members on how donations benefit our students.
The Schools Foundation hopes to raise $115,000 during the Virtual Week of Giving. All donation amounts are appreciated.
In times like these, the Foundation remains committed to their mission: to encourage excellence and assure opportunity in education for every student in the Snoqualmie Valley School District. Events of the past year created new needs as schools worked to adapt to new safety requirements, remote engagement and facilitation, and hybrid learning models. The Foundation has been working with district administration on ways for schools to rebuild school culture and strengthen connections with our students – both at school and from a distance. For example, last spring, the Foundation helped with funding for hotspots for families who did not have reliable internet connectivity. This year they supported teacher professional development and new SWIVL cameras aimed at enabling our teachers to teach students at school and home simultaneously.
The District is grateful to the Snoqualmie Valley Schools Foundation and all who choose to make a donation, for your continuous support and generosity that benefits all Snoqualmie Valley students. Please tune in to their Week of Giving event and invite your friends!
