May 6 School Board Meeting – New Hybrid Meeting Offers In-Person & Online Engagement
The Snoqualmie Valley School Board will hold its regular meeting on May 6, 2021, at 5 p.m. at Mount Si High School, in Building 4000 – the Freshman Campus. This is a change in location as we transition our board meetings to a hybrid format, offering options for both in-person and online public participation. Hybrid board meetings will accommodate limited attendance in person (with required pre-registration and other safety requirements), while at the same time continue to offer online engagement via a livestreamed Zoom webinar meeting.
Guidelines for Participation
Pre-registration required: Anyone wishing to attend in person must pre-register by 12 noon on Wednesday, May 5 -- by emailing Christi Wright at firstname.lastname@example.org. (Please include your name/email/phone number.) Pre-registration is required by the Miscellaneous Venues COVID-19 Requirements issued by Governor Inslee. Attendees will be considered in the order they pre-register; based on the COVID-19 recovery phase of King County, we will be able to accommodate up to 30 guests.
Health Screen Attestations required: On the day of the meeting, everyone attending the meeting in person must complete a temperature check at home, and then complete the SVSD Health Screen Attestation questionnaire, before entering the school. This questionnaire will be available via a QR Code/link to complete with a smart phone just before the meeting, or hard copy forms will be available. You will need to show your attestation approval results at the door prior to entering. If you are a staff member or student who already completed the attestation for school that morning, you will still need to pre-register and then show your attestation clearance (green check mark email or text) from that day upon entry.
One entrance: Attendees will enter through one entrance – please use the stairs to the Freshman Campus platform, on the Meadowbrook Ave. side of the building. We recommend parking in the north lot, closest to the Freshman Campus building. If you need wheelchair/elevator access, please make this request when pre-registering. All attendees must adhere to safety requirements – wear a mask, follow 6-foot social distancing while in line and seated, use hand sanitizer offered at the entrance, and sit where assigned. (Your preregistration and assigned seating will help with contact tracing and notification, if needed.)
