New Assistant Principal Jessica Easthope Hired at Mount Si High School
Mount Si High School announced this week that they have hired Ms. Jessica Easthope as an assistant principal. She will formally join the school’s leadership team on July 1, replacing departing Assistant Principal Sana Tariq. The Board of Directors approved the appointment at the June 2 regular School Board meeting.
Easthope is returning to the Snoqualmie Valley School District. Previously, she served as a National Board Certified counselor at MSHS for 11 years, during which she was a department chair for five years and completed an SVSD principal internship. She also coached the Mount Si Girls Varsity Gymnastics team for nine years, earning several KingCo, district and state accolades.
Most recently, Easthope has been an assistant principal at Cascade High School in the Everett Public School District, for the past four years. During this time, she served as the lead for ASB, Technology, Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS), On-time Graduation and Registration.
"We are very excited to welcome Jessica back to Mount Si High School. Jessica was a proven leader and well-respected staff member during her time at Mount Si. The experience and knowledge she has gained during her time in the Everett School District will be a tremendous asset to our team, as well as our student body and community. We are lucky to get her back!” explained Principal John Belcher.
Easthope earned her Principal Certification at the Danforth Leadership Program at University of Washington, a Master of Education degree in School Counseling from Seattle University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Washington.
"It feels like I’m returning home," added Easthope. "I’m looking forward to being a part of a community known for its academic, athletics, and civic excellence.”
