Honoring Pasco School Bus Driver Richard Lenhart

To honor Pasco School Bus Driver Richard Lenhart, Snoqualmie Valley’s Transportation Team and District Administrators wore their bus driver t-shirts with his #4 route number, and shared a moment of silence today. Tragically, with a bus full of students, he was killed by a man who boarded his bus last Friday, September 24. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Lenhart Family and entire Pasco community.

Transportation Director Belle Tromp explained that she and other drivers wanted to do something to honor him, his team members, and the students he served. Tromp, who was previously the Transportation Manager for Pasco School District, knew Mr. Lenhart personally. She shared that he was a big man with a very big heart, who was often described as a big teddy bear. She recalled, “Richard often said it was because of the kids that he kept driving. He touched many lives, and will be dearly missed.”
