Suicide Prevention Training for Parents & Caregivers – Dec. 2
As families navigate the pressures of today's world, the biggest protective factor is the strength of our combined community. We can all be active in supporting our young people and helping them be the healthiest they can be.
Join our annual Suicide Prevention Training for Parents and Caregivers on Thursday, December 2, from 6:30 - 8 p.m. via Zoom. This training is designed for parents and caregivers of students in grades 9-12, but all adults in the district are welcome to attend.
Developed by Forefront Suicide Prevention at the University of Washington, you will learn a five-step process to help you talk with someone you’re worried about, learn if they are considering suicide, and take early steps to keep them safe.
Over 3,000 Snoqualmie Valley School District parents and caregivers, students, and staff have received Forefront's LEARN® Saves Lives training since 2015.Our goal this year is to provide this training to all Mount Si High School students in December.
