SVSD Receives 2022 Community Partner Award from Encompass
Encompass Northwest honored the Snoqualmie Valley School District (SVSD) with the 2022 Community Partner Award at its Inspire Breakfast on April 26, at The Club at Snoqualmie Ridge.
In a letter to Superintendent Dr. Lance Gibbon, Encompass Executive Director Nela Cummings shared: “We are so grateful for our partnership with Snoqualmie Valley School District. Here are some recent examples this year that we are especially proud of:
- Our partnership in offering trauma-informed care training and ongoing consultation to elementary educators in the district;
- Collaborating with us to offer a Ready for Kindergarten event for all families with incoming Kindergarteners;
- Weekly visits by our Mobile Therapy Unit to most Snoqualmie Valley elementary schools; and,
- Providing free COVID testing to Encompass staff to ensure a safe and healthy working environment at our Child Development Center and Early Learning Center.”
Dr. Lance Gibbon accepted the Community Partner Award on behalf of our school district

Superintendent Gibbon, Snoqualmie Elementary School (SES) Assistant Principal Valerie Li,
Public Information Officer Carolyn Malcolm and SES Principal John Norberg.
Executive Director of Human Resources Beth Porter (not pictured) also attended.
On behalf of the school district, we appreciate this honor – and our partnership with Encompass Northwest! Indeed, it takes a community to build a strong foundation of early learning support and specialized care to help all Snoqualmie Valley children thrive!
The purpose of the Encompass Inspire Breakfast is to provide an inspirational community networking event while supporting the programs at Encompass. You can learn more about this event or donate to Encompass here: https://encompassnw.ejoinme.org/2022Inspire.
