What a special evening it was at the Mount Si High School Library June 14, as the Transition Learning Center (TLC) graduated seven students! These students have been hard at work for the last few years interning and learning skills for independent living, most of them have paid employment waiting for them! Congratulations 2022 TLC graduates: Olivia Corbin, Noah Cotogna, Parker Graves, Karen Hinman, Joshua Hoagland, Eric Meyer, and Luke Rockey (not present).
The Transition Learning Center provides a program to prepare students for life after high school based on their individual educational needs. TLC implements the Unique Learning System curriculum, which focuses on daily living skills, personal-social skills, and occupational guidance and preparation, for special education students ages 18-21.
