Reading Nights Offer Fun Games for Learning at Home

Families of kindergarten and first grade students came together for Reading Nights, in December and January at each of the six Snoqualmie Valley elementary schools. To learn and play literacy-related games, students and their parents were encouraged to explore activities at 10 different stations, each designed to promote reading and writing skills.  Together with teachers, parents and students enjoyed hands-on learning activities to inspire young readers.  At the end of each night, families received a packet of materials so they could replicate the games at home.
