Mount Si Places 3rd at National Cheerleading Championship
Mount Si High School’s Red Cheer Team placed third in the Super Varsity Non-Tumbling division at the UCA National High School Cheerleading Championships in Orlando, Florida on February 11!
“This is the highest Mount Si has ever placed at NHSCC and the girls did absolutely amazing in their final round! It was a tight race with the top three teams in their division hitting beautiful routines, and we are very proud of our results,” shared Janice Wintermyer, one of the coaches.
The team also placed second in the World Cheer Championships, in the same Super Varsity Non-Tumbling division -- competing against international squads. The World Cheer Championship competition is open to teams who place in the top ten the previous year, as well as teams from around the world.
