Superintendent Search Process and Community Survey
The search and selection process to hire the next superintendent for the Snoqualmie Valley School District commences this week (March 19), following Superintendent Joel Aune’s announced plans to take another position at the end of the school year. The School Board is partnering with Ray and Associates, a national education search firm, to conduct a broad search and thorough selection process, to name the next SVSD superintendent by mid-June.
Community Engagement: There will be opportunities for the staff, students, parents and community members to have input into this important process. At the beginning of the process, input gathered through a survey (see below), focus groups, and community meetings will be used to help define the position profile and desired selection criteria for an ideal candidate. Ultimately, the School Board makes the final decision on hiring the next superintendent of Snoqualmie Valley School District.
SURVEY:To participate, please take a brief survey now. Share what leadership qualities, expertise and experiences matter most to you in a superintendent. Survey closes April 2, at 8 a.m.
MEETINGS: Four public meetings are scheduled to gather input from parents and community members. These meetings will take place at the Snoqualmie Fire Station (37600 Snoqualmie Pkwy, Snoqualmie, WA 98065).
