Start Times on the First Day of School – August 29

 

On the first day of classes for grades 1-12, Wednesday, August 29, all secondary Snoqualmie Valley schools (grades 6-12) will run on special schedules. Please refer to details below for your specific school.  All SVSD elementary schools will operate on their regular schedule, starting at 9:05 a.m.

  • Chief Kanim Middle School:  Special schedule for first day of middle school – Wednesday, August 29 only. All 6th graders will start on time the first day at 7:40 a.m.  WEB student leaders, comprised of 8th graders, will lead special activities to welcome new 6th grade students during the first three hours of school. All 7th graders and the rest of the 8th graders will have a three-hour late start on the first day – starting at 10:40 a.m. – on August 29 only.  Buses will be running three hours later for 7th and 8thgraders that day.   • Mount Si High School:  On the First Day of School, August 29, there will be a special schedule for all MSHS students. All freshmen students will begin at the regular start time, 7:40 a.m. at the Freshman Campus, with a special morning planned. This event is led by Mount Si LINK Crew student leaders who have received training to be positive role models and mentors. Activities during the first three hours are designed to welcome all freshmen and support the new Wildcats in their first year of high school. All other students, in 10th-12th grades, will have a three-hour late start on the first day only, starting at 10:40 a.m.  (Bus routes will operate three hours later than their regular pick-up times, for these students.)  Click here for MSHS details regarding the schedule for the first week of 8/29-8/31/18.
  • Twin Falls Middle School:  Special schedule for first day of middle school – Wednesday, August 29 only. All 6th graders will start on time the first day at 7:40 a.m.  WEB student leaders, comprised of 7th and 8th graders, will lead special activities to welcome new 6th grade students, during the first three hours of school. All the other 7th and 8th graders will have a three-hour late start on the first day – starting at 10:40 a.m. – on August 29 only.  Buses will be running three hours later for 7th and 8thgraders that day.  Click here for TFMS details regarding the special schedule.  
  • Two Rivers School:  First day of school for all students is August 29, with a special start time of 9 a.m. - 2:15 p.m.  Click here for TRS details regarding the first two weeks of school. 
  • All Elementary schools will operate on their regular schedule, starting at 9:05 a.m.

 

After the first day, refer to the 2018-19 Belltime Schedule for regular start and dismissal times that will apply throughout the school year. (Please note that all Snoqualmie Valley schools dismiss two hours early every Friday afternoon, allowing time for staff planning and professional development.)
