Mount Si Team Advances to World Robotics Championship


Mount Si High School juniors Acchindra Thev, Hari Rathnam and Manjesh Puram, and sophomore Zain Khaki (pictured left-to-right below), who comprise Team Trinity, have qualified for the 2019 FIRST Tech Challenge Robotics World Championship in Houston in April 17-20.  They earned this honor at the British Columbia Provincial Championship held in Victoria, B.C., on Saturday, February 23, where they perform well in all categories and won three awards.


During this competition which took place over Mid-Winter Break, Team Trinity won the robot performance Winning Alliance Captain award, and the Think Award, given to the team that best reflects their ideas, season and journey through their engineering notebook. They were also first place finalists for the Inspire Award, which celebrates the pinnacle of FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) achievement.
