Seeking Peers for Developmental Preschool Program

The Snoqualmie Valley School District is now accepting applications for Preschool Community Peers for its Developmental Preschool Program, for the 2019-20 school year.

Developmental Preschool is integrated, serving children with and without developmental delays. Peers are preschool age students (3-4 years of age by August 31) who attend the District’s preschool to help model developmentally-appropriate social, self help, communication, motor and pre-academic skills in the developmental/special education preschool setting. The program uses Creative Curriculum, a play-based curriculum.

The District Preschool Program is based at Snoqualmie Elementary School. Families of preschool peers live within the Snoqualmie Valley School District boundaries. There are two half-day sessions (a.m. and p.m.) that run Mondays through Thursdays. (There are no full day sessions for Community Preschool Peers.) Session placement is determined by age. Tuition for Community Preschool Peers is $285 per month.

The application deadline is Friday, April 5 (extended due to snow closures).

To apply online or learn more, visit the Developmental Preschool Information on the district website. If you have additional questions, please call Marci Nicholson at (425) 831-8088.
