The ranking methodology was re-vamped this year to consider the factors of: College Readiness, Math and Reading Proficiency, Math and Reading Performance, Underserved Student Performance, College Curriculum Breadth and Graduation Rate. In conjunction with the RTI International, a global research firm, U.S. News collects data from official third-party sources that include the College Board, International Baccalaureate, each state (Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction), and the U.S. Department of Education Common Core of Data.
