Community Celebrates the Grand Opening of Mount Si High School
On Saturday, September 7, approximately 2,500 people attended Mount Si High School’s Grand Opening Community Celebration. The Snoqualmie Valley School District and School Board welcomed local citizens, neighbors, MSHS alumni, students of all ages, their families, staff members, business owners, elected officials, and many skilled professionals who contributed to building the amazing new high school for our community.
The pep band of 160+ Mount Si musicians set a festive tone for the day, starting in the new gymnasium for a 10 a.m. presentation and ribbon cutting ceremony, which concluded with the MSHS fight song. Presentations shared the history of the project, explained special features designed to enhance learning, and recognized the many people involved in turning a dream for our students into the amazing new campus which opened to grades 9-12 on September 4. Most importantly, it was a time to thank the community and voters for their support and investment in Snoqualmie Valley’s children for generations to come!
