Chemistry Challenge Coming to CKMS

Chief Kanim Middle School, in partnership with Seattle Science Infinity Club (www.scienceinfinity.org), is bringing the You Be The Chemist Challenge (YBTC) Challenge® to Washington State for the first time, on April 20, 2013. The deadline to register students is April 5th.

The YBTC Challenge is an interactive academic competition, based on the National Science Education Standards, which engages students in grades 5-8 in learning about important chemistry concepts, scientific discoveries, and laboratory safety. This first-time event will take place on Saturday, April 20, from 12 noon to 5pm, at Chief Kanim Middle School in Fall City, Washington. The winning student, with an adult, will get a paid trip to Philadelphia to participate in the national competition in June.

TO REGISTER: please send in the student name, grade, school, parent name, and contact number to YBTCSeattle@outlook.com before April 5th, 2013. There are no fees to participate in this challenge.
