More Focus Groups Scheduled for Facilities Planning

The Snoqualmie Valley School District Board of Directors has scheduled three more meetings to share possible bond scenarios and gather community input.
Two more Focus Group discussions are planned for the next two Monday evenings, June 3 and June 10, both from 6-8 pm at the Mount Si High School library. Each Focus Group will be comprised of approximately 50 invited guests who represent a broad sampling of community perspectives. The purpose of the meetings is to gather input on three potential school bond scenarios that the School Board has been studying.

If you’d like to be invited to be a participant in an upcoming Focus Group, please email with the subject line: Focus Group -- include your name, email address, phone number and indicate the meeting dates you are available.

In addition to the Focus Groups, the same information will be presented in a Community E-Meeting -- this is an interactive online format scheduled for mid-day Monday, June 10, from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. An E-Meeting allows participants to hear a presentation from the comfort of their computer, and submit questions and feedback to the presenters. More information will be posted on the district website next week on how the public can sign up for the E-Meeting prior to June 10.

These upcoming June meetings will continue community discussions that have been facilitated by the School Board in the past month. Previous Focus Groups were held on May 1, 22 and 28, 2013. These covered the same material and were open to the public as well.

Feedback received from the Focus Groups and E-Meeting will help the Board as they work toward finalizing scenarios for additional review by the community in the coming months.
