To help balance student enrollment between Chief Kanim Middle School and Twin Falls Middle School, the
District will once again consider enrollment requests from families
within the district who may want to attend the middle school that is
outside of their home attendance boundary. (Families who plan to attend
the middle school they are zoned to attend, do not need to apply.)
Open Enrollment period for the Intradistrict Transfers applications
for middle schools is January 12-30, 2015. All applications are due to
the District Office: January 30, at 4 p.m. (Forms received after this
time will be added to a waiting list.)
To apply, instructions and application forms are available at both middle school offices:
transfer requests are for one school year only and must be renewed
annually. Students currently open enrolled at either middle school this current
2014-15 school year, who chose to apply again, will be given priority
for the 2015-16 school year.
If the number of applicants exceeds the
number of available transfer spaces available, a lottery will be conducted after
the application deadline. Families being granted an intradistrict
transfer will be contacted during the week of February 9, 2015 to
confirm their intent to transfer in the fall of 2015.
Again, there is no action needed from families who want to attend the school within their attendance boundary.
