Nominate an Outstanding Classified Staff Member of the Year
NEW UPDATE (as of 2/2/15): The Snoqualmie Valley Schools Foundation received many great nominations for certificated staff ---Thanks to all who responded by January 31. However, they are still looking for nominations of outstanding CLASSIFIED school employees to be considered for the 2015 Classified Educator of the Year award. The deadline forclassified only nominations has been extended toFriday, February 6.Classified
staff include: paraeducators, kitchen staff, technology support,
secretaries, custodians and grounds workers, bus drivers and mechanics,
and other district office employees who help support teachers, ensure schools run smoothly, and maintain the district's buildings and resources.Please see below for instructions to how to submit a nomination.
The Snoqualmie Valley Schools Foundation “Educator of the Year” program is an annual event that recognizes and honors exemplary educators in the Snoqualmie Valley School District.
Who do you know who exemplifies the following selection criteria?
Inspires students of all backgrounds and abilities to learn;
Has the respect and admiration of students, parents, and colleagues;
Leads by example;
Plays an active and useful role in the scholastic environment.
Award Categories: Four educators are honored each year, including one from each of the following categories:
Eligibility:The nominee must be a staff member employed by the Snoqualmie Valley School District for a minimum of three years.
Nominators: Students, parents, educators or other members of the community can nominate an educator for this recognition. Fill out the nomination form found on the Schools Foundation website.
Process:Nomination packages must be postmarked to the Schools Foundation by January 31, 2015. An independent selection committee comprised of community leaders will review applications. (NEW: The deadline for nominating a classified employee has been extended to February 6, 2015.)
Winners will be notified by the first week of March, and invited to be guests of honor at the Snoqualmie Valley Schools Foundation’s “Small Hands to Big Plans” annual spring luncheon on March 19, 2015 at TPC Snoqualmie Ridge.
