New Math Pathways Defined for Middle School Students
At the April 14 Middle School Math Night, parents of students in grades 6, 7 and 8 were invited to learn about the new Math Pathways (a road map for the math courses students can take in middle school and high school) and the new Big Ideas math curriculum (currently being piloted in the District).
If you missed this Math Night, be sure to check out new resources available online involving Mathematic Pathways for Middle and High School that have been created to assist families in planning for math options that will best match their students’ learning needs and future goals.
Parents of current 5th graders: please plan to attend a meeting on April 29 – at either Chief Kanim Middle School or Twin Falls Middle School. Math placement and course options for incoming 6th graders will be discussed, along with other information to help students transition into middle school.
