Parent Survey on your School’s Educational Effectiveness
Snoqualmie Valley schools are committed to continuous improvement and we invite you to let us know how our schools are doing.
Each year, as part of the District’s school improvement process, every school develops a School Improvement Plan that is tailored to its specific needs and goals. A team at each school analyzes a variety of information sources – including student performance trends, assessment data, and staff/parent/student perception surveys – to identify improvement goals that are specific, data-driven and measurable. The schools use their School Improvement Plans to guide intentional efforts throughout the year toward strengthening their programs to improve student learning.
Starting today, May 14, the District is launching an online, multiple-choice parent survey. Please take a few minutes to help your school understand its strengths and challenges, in areas known to impact educational effectiveness.
Please complete and submit surveys by Sunday, May 31.
IMPORTANT: If you have more than one child attending Snoqualmie Valley schools, please complete this survey for each school your children attend – so all can learn from your perspective.
This survey was developed by the Center for Educational Effectiveness, a Bellevue-based educational research firm, in collaboration with the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction for Washington State. The survey questions are based on the “Characteristics of High Performing Schools”. Because the District has administered this survey regularly in recent years, on a rotation basis with student and staff surveys, the results offer our schools a valuable look at trends and growth areas over time.
Thank you in advance for your time and thoughtful input. Your participation in the school improvement process, via this survey, will help make our Snoqualmie Valley schools the best they can be for your students.
