Two Elementary Boundary Options Now Under Consideration

(Updated October 12, 2015)

In this next phase of the Elementary School Boundary Review, the committee has narrowed five options, that were presented earlier, down to two, after reviewing community feedback. To make this decision, the committee carefully reviewed responses from over 430 people who participated in Survey #1 (from September 30 to October 7), discussing how each option supports the criteria for defining new attendance boundaries that will meet the District’s future enrollment and program needs.

The options include: Option B2 and Option C2. Click here to explore the two remaining boundary options.

Each option features a map, brief description of changes, and a table with projected classroom availability at each school. After viewers have an opportunity to review the details, a link to SURVEY #2 was provided for feedback. Survey #2 closed Friday, October 23 at noon.

Citizens can also learn more about the two final options at two upcoming Community Meetings. The same content will be presented at both meetings:
  • Tuesday, October 20, at 6:30 p.m. at North Bend Elementary School lunchroom (400 East 3rd Street, North Bend, WA 98045)
  • Wednesday, October 21, at 6:30 p.m. Mount Si Freshman Campus commons (9200 Railroad Avenue, Snoqualmie, WA 98065)
The new attendance boundaries will go into effect starting the fall of 2016, when the District will expand from five to six primary schools when Elementary School #6 opens.
