Community “Focus on Education” School Tour

Mark your calendar… The community is invited to attend the District’s 5th annual “Focus on Education” School Tour event on January 12. This special event provides guests with an opportunity to learn first-hand about Snoqualmie Valley schools and experience an inspiring day of teaching and learning in our classrooms.

The 2016 event will feature a visit to North Bend Elementary School and Mount Si High School on Tuesday, January 12, from 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. The agenda for the day includes: meeting the superintendent and principals, visiting classrooms, interacting with students, learning about key initiatives and future plans, seeing how technology is used in classrooms, riding a school bus, and dining on a gourmet lunch prepared by Mount Si High School’s culinary students while enjoying a special student performance.

“As educators, we see amazing things happening in our schools every day,” explained Superintendent Joel Aune. “This event provides others in our community a chance to also experience first-hand what it’s like to attend school today. Through classroom tours, guests will see how students are learning, how teachers are engaging them, and how schools are working to meet the changing needs of our students. They will see how schools, with the help of technology, are focused on ensuring all students will be prepared with the skills, resources and confidence they will need to thrive in the future.”

This opportunity is ideal for community members or businesses owners new to the area, neighbors who have not attended our schools in years, or those who simply want to learn more about Snoqualmie Valley schools.

RSVP before JANUARY 6 by contacting Kim Roeber at or 425-831-8007.

Space is limited for this special opportunity so RSVP today, if you’re interested. Once the event is full, names will be added to a waiting list for a future event.

We hope you will join us January 12.
