Mount Si Knowledge Bowl Team Places 6th in State

Mount Si High School’s Knowledge Bowl “A” Team, also known as the Mount Si Psychics, joined 100 other high school teams on Saturday, March 19 at the state competition at Arlington High School.

Congratulations to the Mount Si team for finishing 6th in State in the 4A Division, among the largest schools from which 18 teams competed. Team members included: MSHS seniors Will Kramer (team captain), James Radek and Ryan Moore, and juniors Casey Harris and Autumn Capper. The Mount Si team had qualified for state by placing 3rd in their regional contest, as announced earlier.

“At one point in the semi-finals against Olympia and Kamiak, our team came from behind to almost overtake Olympia’s top very strong team, finding themselves in the top three playoffs for the championship,” explained Mount Si Knowledge Bowl Coach/Advisor and Science Teacher Kevin Knowles. “We are all so proud of the excellent effort made by these Mount Si students who displayed their academic prowess among Washington State high school youth.”
